Droid Tycoon Nova Crystal Spending Guide: What to Buy First

Nova Crystals are slow to earn and every upgrade you buy is permanent, so spending order matters more than almost anything else in the game. This guide walks through what gives the best return early, what to save for, and which one-time purchases are worth it.

Where crystals come from

You earn Nova Crystals only by super-rebirthing at rebirth 12 or higher, from 11 crystals a run up to 191 at rebirth 27. That makes them your scarcest resource, so the goal is to spend early crystals on upgrades that earn the rest of your crystals faster, then move on to raw power.

Buy these first: the snowball upgrades

The fastest-compounding upgrades are the ones that speed up the whole loop. They start cheap and pay for themselves many times over because every later run benefits:

The pattern: anything that makes credits, chips, or time go further should come before flat power, because it accelerates every future purchase.

A simple spending order

If you want a plan: take the two 10-crystal quality-of-life unlocks first, pour the next chunk into the cheap early levels of Credits, Scrap Value and Upgrade Chip Scrap, pick up Double Daily Quests once you can spare 75, and only start saving toward the 500-crystal Flawless Charm once your income engine is humming.

Plan it exactly: the tracker's Nova Shop tab lets you check off the upgrades you want, totals the crystal cost, and tells you how many super-rebirths it takes at each rebirth level.
